Laura Criollo Carrillo

Visual artist and art director born in Bogota, Colombia in 1988.

Her artistic practice reflects on the ephemeral and eternal nature of memory. Throughout her career, she has explored photography and video as extensions of memory, focusing on the capture of immaterial or intangible phenomena such as light, sound and movement. By developing a strong interest in science and technology, her practice also includes interactive installations.

Her work has been shown in Colombia, Canada, Argentina and Poland.

She is co-founder and art director of Valaquia a creative studio of photography and art direction based in Montreal, Canada.
