Sur l'imperceptible et sa révélation
Video, sculpture, virtual reality, 2026
Sur l'imperceptible et sa révélation is the first of three chapters exploring the ephemeral nature of memory. The first work resulting from this research is an installation combining video, sculpture, and sound art. It explores the simultaneously ephemeral and enduring nature of memory through a sensory exploration of different territories in Colombia and Quebec, which represent geographical and symbolic places of belonging for me. This exploration examines how both mental and physical rootedness and uprootedness, shaped by the experience of migration, create a chimeric and mutable experience of space and time.
The research and creation phase of the project took place from August 2025 to May 2026 and it was made possible through financial support from the Canada Council for the Arts, as well as support from PRIM, Eastern Bloc, Ada X, and OBORO.
